CRL Preseason

Colleague's Early CRL Fall 2025 Pre-Projections

Colleague's Dart Projects the Top 50 teams in CRL Fall 2025

Sep 8, 2025

CRL is about to enter what is likely the highest level of competition we've seen, with multiple RLCS pros and new talented rosters set to hit the pitch in Fall 2025. With what is shaping up to be an exciting CRL Fall 2025 split, here's Colleague's EARLY CRL Fall 2025 Preseason Projections.

DISCLAIMER: This is not the COLLEAGUE48 Power Rankings or Colleague Poll. This is a Preseason Ranking Colleague puts out before the Fall.

  1. St. Clair Green

Projected Lineup: arju / pzy / Jazii

The Saints return their core European stars and hope to repeat their CRL Spring 2025 Championship.

  2. Northwood

Projected Lineup: Zineel / Creamz / HockE

Nobody was sure what would become of Northwood when their Director Cody Elson left for NC State, but the blue blood return last year's Top 3 squad and look to take back what is historically theirs following two CRL Open victories, yet a 3rd-4th place finish in the Championships.

  3. Maryville

Projected Lineup: eekso / Speed / relatingwave

Arguably last year's hottest program to jump into CRL, Maryville made waves while overcoming a rocky start, cementing themselves as a Top 3 team in CRL.

  4. Winthrop

Projected Lineup: GarrettG / Percy / tcorrell.

Undoubtedly the biggest newcomer to CRL this season, Winthrop bring in RLCS World Champion from NRG, GarrettG. Alongside him pro player Percy, formerly of teams such as Cloud9 and M80, makes his collegiate debut. Tcorrell returns to Winthrop to round out this dangerous squad. 4th is a safe projection, however, the ceiling is sky high for the Eagles.

  5. Concord

Projected Lineup: Simas / Crispy / Helix

Concord came on strong last year, winning CRL Fall 2024 in their first season as a squad. New coach DJTJ looks to maximize their potential again this season.

  6. West Virginia

Projected Lineup: Angel / Gyro / Daunt / Tool

I expect the Mountaineers to have a bounce back season, falling out of the Top 8 in the CRL Spring 2025 championships. With Gyro entering the starting spot, it could reignite WVU's potential.

  7. Akron Blue

    Projected Lineup: patty / Bullzzeye / Fiv3Up

The blue bloods of Akron should continue to string together a strong season after a Top 6 CRL Spring 2025 finish. Wouldn't be surprised to see them move five up this list…

  8. Ball State

Projected Lineup: Oath / guh / Wovah

Chirp Chirp! The Cardinals have been strong performers, and with this season of CRL being harder than ever, they should still have what it takes to be Top 8.

  9. Cumberland

Projected Lineup: POLAR / nexvii / KnightYuh

Cumberland came out hot in Spring 2025, placing top 8 in the CRL championship. The chemistry and talent of this team is undeniable, and could sneak into the Top 8 if things go right for them.

  10. Davenport Black

Projected Lineup: cam / broc / bolti

Davenport had an underwhelming Top 13-16 placement to end the CRL Spring 2025 season, but a 2nd year as a squad should help them find their consistent rhythm behind star player cam.

  11. Boise State

Projected Lineup: wuzy / PRSTN / durtho

Back at full strength, Boise State are here to try and carry the West.

  12. Baylor

    Projected Lineup: Hockser / Andy / JT25

Another huge entrance into the CRL and collegiate esports scene, Baylor announce a duo of RLCS pro veterans Hockser and Andy to kickstart the Bears program. 3rd questions remain, but don't be surprised if JT anchors a squad that could enter the Top 8 of CRL in their first semester.

  13. George Mason

Projected Lineup: Memory / Kinseh / Kraziks

Another huge CRL roster announcement for the Patriots has us wondering how good this team can really be. On paper, this former pro-studded lineup has what it takes to be a Top 8 team. Just need to see some consistent practice and performance together as a squad.

  14. Fisher College

Projected Lineup: Ahduhm / Royales / Justuszz / Falss

Unsure of Fisher's full starting lineup this season, it's hard to bet against CRL veteran Ahduhm, and the new pickup of SAM RLCS star Royales to the team. Previously committed to Shawnee State, Royales led them to a Top 4 finish in our $2k Colleague PreJump III event, instantly displaying his incredible mechanical skill. Whoever is their 3rd, they should surely be competing in every event they play.

  15. Saint Edward's

Projected Lineup: Noly / Wellace / Tater

Another RLCS pro enters the scene, as former GENG and OG noly makes his way to NA to re-energize SEU's program. The hotspot legend wellace, and former Michigan Tech/Davenport CRL player Tater round out the squad.

  16. Kennesaw State

Projected Lineup: Kronovi / Flitz / TNT

A second RLCS World Champion enters the collegiate space as iBUYPOWER and G2 legend Kronovi joins the Owls to duo with Flitz on a sneaky good squad. They have a mountain to climb to get to Top 8, but the potential of this team is certainly there.

  17. Columbia College

Projected Lineup: Excelst / gske / Ryolite

Columbia had big shoes to fill with Cryptic graduating, but transfer from Radford, Ryolite, has what it takes to keep this blue blood program in the top tier of CRL.

  18. Oklahoma Christian

Projected Lineup: chilli / gman / North

Never doubt the Eagles and the deadly duo of chilli and gman. They may prove everyone wrong again, but with the announcement of their program disbanding and the influx of new talent into CRL, we see them possibly taking a slight dip this season.

  19. Michigan State

Projected Lineup: Druee / nock / Opp Bomb

Druee transfers from Saint Edward's to the Spartans program, creating a huge potential to make the grass greener for this squad. Mich St already proved to be a quality team with upset capability last season with Morveau in tow.

  20. Lubbock Christian

Projected Lineup: process / shmacked / Beasty

LCU has proven capable with a multitude of thirds to complement the duo of process and shmacked. Beasty brings a dynamic playstyle from EU that could make this projection look silly.

  21. Ole Miss

Projected Lineup: Lunar / Stealth / Cmoney

The Rebels stunned the world in our $2k Colleague PreJump III event, bringing in S5-Cosmic and taking home 1st place. With the announcement Cosmic will join the program in the Spring, Cmoney is back as a Graduate Assistant and 3rd man for this squad. They will need to overcome some inconsistancy issues to get back in the mix of S tier squads.

  22. Indiana Tech

Projected Lineup: Bluey / Reshiram / Velocity

One of the more surprising roster moves of the season, Indiana Tech pick up two highly touted EU players Reshiram and Velocity. We've only seen them from EU ping, but they showed their speed and potential.

  23. Brewton-Parker

Projected Lineup: MannyLR / Mylk / Cass

Another year, another BPC team potentially upsetting a Top 10 team. Cass brought added upside to the Barons last semester, and are always a fun team to watch.

  24. Akron Gold

Projected Lineup: milio / Yawnathan / oxy

This team is still good as gold. Capable of upsetting your favorite team. Finished Top 22 in CRL Spring 2025.

  25. Illinois State

Projected Lineup: NoMansion / cg / syth

We're sad to hear the news of their program discontinuing, and the loss of Cosmic hurts, but the Redbirds are still a top 25 team or higher if they play. This is a safe spot to put them as they are unsure if they will compete in CRL this season.

  26. Syracuse

Projected Lineup: Tiz / LessuR / Gababy

Orange you glad Syracuse is back? We're excited to see this team play, debuting an impressive 4-2 win over Wichita State in their first appearance from our $2k Colleague PreJump III Main Event, then falling to #5 Concord 2-4.

  27. Ball State Black

Projected Lineup: Ulttor / Varietyy / Feebs / Yags

Ball State has loaded up their second team with two underrated pickups in Feebs and yags. Having already placed a Top 8 in CRL Spring 2025 Opens, and finishing Top 22 overall, this team is one to watch out for.

  28. Mizzou

Projected Lineup: Crimz / Bubbs / ExodiaWes

Not entirely sure of the future of this team after the Fall 2025, where Bubbs announced his plan to retire, we still see them as Top 30 team this season following a Top 22 in CRL Spring 2025, and expect them to reload as one of CRL West's longest standing dynasties.

  29. East Tennessee State

Projected Lineup: kisai / Forece / landen / adrift

Another transfer class that is sure to raise some eyebrows, ETSU brings in kisai from Lawrence Tech, and Forece from Fisher College. Kisai led LTU to a Colleague Madness appearance, and Forece helped Fisher to Top 8 in CRL Spring. ETSU may be way better than we think, but solidly round out around Top 30 right now. Super excited to see them on the pitch.

  30. Wichita State

Projected Lineup: Night / mas / boone

Kansas native Night transfers in to the Shockers from Maryville and gives this team something you shouldn't sleep on. Having already poked their head into our Top 48 rankings many times, would not be shocked if this is their year to shock the world.

  31. St. Clair Gold

Projected Lineup: Kristian / fatal / Tru

Saints Gold still retain a solid lineup from last season as they look to punch back into the Top 30.

  32. Drexel

Projected Lineup: Xerf / kehvn / Guard

Unsure if Baaron is still with the squad, however Drexel has been on fire with a Top 26 finish in CRL Spring 2025.

  33. Brock

Projected Lineup: soarz / lev / Sy

Brock is back! Kruncho may be gone, but soarz and lev are here to bring them back to CRL glory. Sy looks to be a respectable 3rd.

  34. Rochester Christian

Projected Lineup: Skies / Luca / Magicc

Rochester return their full team from last season. Capable of a quality upset, but sit right out of the Top 30 right now.

  35. UNC Charlotte

Projected Lineup: Lazy / Night / ballah

ballah is a baller, and UNCC continues to improve with this roster. Placed Top 26 in CRL Spring 2025.

  36. Lesley

Projected Lineup: swazz / collat. / bubble

Welcome to CRL, Lesley University! Debuting their roster with RLCS Main Event player swazz, Lesley came 1 game short of qualifying for our $2k Colleague PreJump III Main Event in June. Look out for these guys!

  37. San Diego State

    Projected Lineup: aZapatos / seanB / 5strs

SDSU has no lack of talent with 1v1 star aZapatos and newcomer seanB to the squad.

  38. IPN Burros Blancos

Projected Lineup: Storm / Betrayed / Bral

Mexico's finest look to continue their solid run after a Top 8 and Top 26 overall finish in CRL Spring 2025.

  39. James Madison

Projected Lineup: Gad / frght / Fyshix / Tylurr

JMU have been on the come up, and the addition of frght has this team ready to duke it out with the best of them.

  40. Florida

Projected Lineup: HammyCrackers / Larry / sap.

The Gators had some solid performances last season. Sap, a transfer from USF, has some shoes to fill in replace of Rade to keep them scaling the ranks. Kfrost from King University is set to join them in the Spring, which will add more upside to this team.

  41. Keiser

Projected Lineup: Zinvez / Denzy / prism

Keiser White impressed last season with some solid results in CRL, earning an invite to Colleague Madness.

  42. Davenport Red

Projected Lineup: Byra / para / Exiled

Davenport's 2nd team have a high caliber roster with individual talent. Some inconsistant performances last season find them in the 40s right now.

  43. Iowa State

Projected Lineup: Crazii / Vanish / Midas

An up and down team lead by vanish, but one you cannot sleep on when it's their day.

  44. Cleveland State

    Projected Lineup: CIPROCATE / orbotx / Haz / L0B0

The Vikings started off hot last Fall, and the addition of Haz should put them in the Top 48. Unsure of their starting 3, but confident in their team to find some good wins.

  45. Penn State

Projected Lineup: Nitrous / ntri / Kiliex

Nitrous, previously of Northwood White, continues his collegiate journey at Penn State. On paper this roster is Top 40 good, just need to see more of them in a national competition.

  46. WCTC

Projected Lineup: Tyy / gio / Neaxx

Waukesha County Technical College has been on our radar with some solid performances, and this years roster should be able to compete.

  47. Siena Heights

Projected Lineup: fooj / Bob / hesi

It was a nice surprise to see the Saints still competing, and according to NACE Varsity Premier, hesi has joined the school. With fooj and Bob this is a good team we hope can do well this season.

  48. Florida International

    Projected Lineup: Xernite / LukeRL / kaizinho53 / DrewGod

FIU began sneaking their way into our COLLEAGUE48 Power Rankings last semester, and if Luke, formerly of UCF, has joined their team, that only makes them better.

  49. York

Projected Lineup: Bosco / nxtro / Noah

Another Canadian team joins the mix, lead by highly rated player Bosco. Their team projects to be a reckoned force.

  50. Shawnee State

    Projected Lineup: SLaYeR / tacostash84 / Spookii.

The Bears stunned everyone when they placed Top 4 in Colleague PreJump III Main Event with formerly committed Royales. His decommitment leaves them in a tough spot, but this team is still capable of some solid results.

    Honorable Mentions:

Maryland, King, Saint Mary's, UT Arlington

We're sure there's plenty of teams missed, but that just speaks to the level of talent we have in CRL today. Whether you're competing in NACE, NECC, CRL, CCA or all of the above, good luck this season, we'll be watching!
